Which size should I choose?
It depends on the country and the document. Common sizes are 35 × 45 mm (passports in Germany, Italy, the UK and France, and Schengen visas), 2 × 2 inches (US passport and visa) and 26 × 32 mm (Spanish DNI). Always check the rules of the authority that asks for the photo.
Will an official office accept the photo?
Offices check things a tool cannot guarantee: neutral expression, no glare on glasses, correct head size, even lighting without shadows, sharpness and, sometimes, the background colour. Start from a good photo, compare the result with the official guide and use the guides here as an aid. We cannot guarantee acceptance.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The background is removed by an AI model that runs inside your browser, so your photo never leaves your device. The first time, the model (about 4.6 MB) is downloaded and then kept for next time.
